Snow Day

We had a very atypical weekend of snow here in Vancouver. I've thoroughly enjoyed watching out the window as the flakes fall, making snow angels, and taking pictures. The power outage for most of the day was rather inconvenient at such a busy time of the semester (the lack of comptuer power set me back in essay production), but I had fun braving the slippery sidewalks and crowded buses in search of a cafe with power outlets and wireless Internet. Here are some of the sights...

My cute little study space with a view

See, evidence. There really is lots of snow. And it's not going away any time soon since the low tonight is -11, and it isn't supposed to get above freezing tomorrow.

An unexpected bus ride home?

That's me.

Here are the eagles from a different angle. I saw them flying around quite a lot today. I wonder what they think of the snow.

And, you're getting more!!!
And C. is supposed to be flying through YVR from Victoria this afternoon/evening and we all know how well those airports deal with this weather! :(

Snow angles are fun.
Have you tried catching snowflakes with your tongue? Fun, too.
